Support for Sanfilippo Syndrome

I want you to meet two very precious people, Waverly and Oliver…

Sanfilippo Syndrome is a genetic disease that is seen in about 1 in 70,000 births. Symptoms generally appear after the first year of a child's life, and children who have been diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome will learn and grow and play just like all children. However, usually sometime between their 2nd and 6th birthdays these children will experience developmental delays followed by deteriorating mental status. Most children will live into their teens, some will live longer.

As of today, there is no cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome and there has been little research.

and HERE my lovelies - is where YOU come in!

Have you heard of the Pepsi Refresh Project?

No?

Every day you can vote for up to 10 ideas! At the end of each month, the ideas with the most votes will receive big monetary grants!

Very simply, Waverly and Oliver need your support. Please click the link below

LOVEBETTIE and Your Make Up Brushes

How to Maintain your Make up Brushes
I've put together a little video tutorial to show how easy it is to take care of your make up brushes. No matter how expensive or 'cheap' your brush may be - the treatment is always the same. High quality makeup brushes are expensive, so it is important to keep them in good condition. Some of my brushes are very high quality and some are not.  I suggest adding quality brushes to your collection as you go along. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day...

Like my music? Then you'll love this band!
LOVEBETTIE!

Happy Anniversary Fannie and Lue!

On New Years Eve, 1948,  my grandmother, Fannie Lewis and my grandfather, Lue Watt, travelled to Cumberland, Maryland from Pennsylvania to get married. As my grandmother tells it, Lue wanted to get married on the last day of the year for the tax benefit! But I think that, while, yes,  he probably DID want the tax break, that my grandfather was a bit of a romantic.

This year, some 60+ years later, my 8 year old daughter has donned her great-grandmother's wedding gown. It's absolutely too big, but she sure looks cute. I even pin-curled her hair and gave her victory rolls, as learned on the attached tutorial video.

Thanks to Mylulu2 for the fabulous tutorial!

Happy New Year!
